The Hunt For the Perfect Orange Scarf! Huzzah!

Ok so today started the search for the perfect orange scarf for fall. I’ve yet to add orange to my collection of scarves and this year I simply must have it! So I’ve narrowed it down so far to 3 different possibilities (photos are linked to the etsy pages I found them on). Just for fun I am going to throw a vote out there to see what scarf you think I have picked. Is there a prize? Um well a future blog post with me featuring the scarf in a fab fall outfit!? That is totally a prize right? Treat for me, treat for you. So here are the candidates:

May the best voter choose? I’m not good at verbal rhetoric, but you get the picture. Can’t wait to see what you think and then share what it is I went for!

We have been blessed with a beautiful summer and I know it may be a bit late as soon we will be getting into fall fashion, but I wanted to pay tribute to summer fashion with some end of summer sales at one of my favorite stores to shop on the cheap: Target!

This particular is my favorite because its flirty, but still sort of casual.

What the what about Sweaters!

Ok, so it winter time and I’ve been doing what any self-respecting Midwest woman is doing right now; which is looking for warm new sweaters to wear. Especially now that I’ve noticed all I own is hoodies all of a sudden (don’t ask). So after several hours during a shopping trip with my mom and sister I came away extremely disappointed that even though I did find a great New Years outfit I found not a single cute sweater that was warm! I’ve made several trips out to different stores since then and came away even more annoyed. What happened to designers out there!? Did we get lazy or am I just on a way different wavelength fashion wise right now, because if the sweater was cute it was paper-thin and everything else was horrendous! For example I went onto H&M’s website to show exactly what I mean.

Here is an example of a sweater that has a design on it (most just seem to be thrown on there as if ugly sweater’s are now the “In” thing which is really annoying if you were to ask me). Looking at this pattern and color scheme I can imagine myself wearing it without feeling embarrassed (especially tied in with a cute red scarf or my rose gold one).

Cute Sweater

Then we have the same sweater, but different color scheme and design. What I wonder is…were they drunk or maybe high when they thought this up? I’m a bit disgruntled!

What were they thinking!? Seriously!

What were they thinking!? Seriously!

So for those of you that may be reading…am I alone on this or does it seem like it is really hard to find cute sweaters (or blouses for that matter) without having to dig through the internet because frankly I’ve given up on finding them in stores…unless maybe if I go to H&M because from looking at their website there is some hope yet. Also I would like to add they have this cool new feature on their website where you can dress up a model to see how the outfit you want looks and it adds up the total of the outfit. Big thumbs up H&M, LOVE IT!

Spring is here!

Ok ladies time to amp up and clean out those closets! Which means it is also time to get some spring shopping on! That is why I’ve been devoting tons of my free time to perusing through the internet to find cute stuff on the cheap ^_^ There is nothing more I like than an affordable bargain that is will make me feel better wearing it 😉

Here is a little secret about me…I’m a complete tom girl, usually. In the past several years though my girly side has really started to seep through. What happened to me? Pink happened! One day I fell in love with pink and it kind of went down/up hill from there. The great news is I’m trying to use my new obsession for good! That is why I started this blog (spurred on by pinterest, omg I KNOW).

Oh yes there is probably something else that you should know about me and will probably soon find out (if anyone ends up following this blog at all) is that I am a scarf-aholoic :s This could be a good thing or a bad thing depending on how much you like scarves. For me I have several hanging in my closet already and possibly more soon to come 0_0 No worries though I’m looking out for our pocketbooks while keeping in mind our beauty needs 🙂

So viva la scarf!
